Arepitas Calientes

This conversation goes way back. Whenever I go to Italy, people go "Imagine the food"...and true, italian food is good.... but it gets boring fast, within a few days. Anything non-Italian is still seen as exotic, "funny" actually, something to play with on special occasions, almost not real food. Like they go "I went to that new Japanese restaurant yesterday" and I go "how was it?" and they go "You know, it's Japanese, it's fun!"
Fun? To me food is good or not good. Company can be fun, but food rarely amuses me. So yesterday I found this place around the corner from me that serves authentic Venezuelan fare. Yum-Yum-Yum.
Once you get used to the variety you find in a city like NYC, you can't go back easily. And yes, I know I'm spoiled.
