Chinsongs: Comsat Angels

This is a diary-like entry, since this song is one of those sending me in nostalgia overdrive. It's one of the first songs I remember giving me chills... a real emotional kick. I heard it on the radio and waited days for the record to arrive after I ordered it at my local indie store. Everything about it, in the mind of a 15-year old was incredible... the geometric structure, the barely contained energy. I believe it really molded my future taste for music and I always saw U2, who started their career briefly after, as pale imitators of the Angels. So many bands today sound like them, Interpol, the Editors... and when they do sound like The Comsat Angels, then I like them.
